Perdido Key is between Pensacola Florida and Orange Beach Alabama and has approximately 300 natural springs throughout its 16 mile span. Historically the area referred to as Gulf Beach but evolved into “Perdido” Key meaning “lost” key in Spanish. Nearly 60% of its landscape protected by federal or state parks. In fact, in 1978 the National Park Service had purchased over 1,000 acres to help preserve its natural beauty.
